FLYING LOTUS

Creative life

Life as a creative person can be a very frustrating experience. It often turns people into compulsive, selfish, obsessive person.

If your born with a creative mind you see things different. Where as most people see everyday objects such as TVs and buildings as normal everyday things, you see shape, light and shadow, form and texture. All of a sudden you find yourself thinking “it would look better this way”.

To a creative mind, nothing is perfect. Everything needs to be improves or changes. Its never finished.

I have never met a car where I thought “that car is perfect looking”. Because there is always an ecstatic judgment that comes before everything.

I can look at something an imagine how its inside parts look like at the same time. Whilst am having a conversation or something about something els.

Nothing man made is perfect and everything to a creative person’s eyes is in need of redesign and improvement.

But this can have a serious implication on your normal life. No wonder talented people end up going crazy.

All the great painters, singers or artist in modern history have had troubled lives. There is a thin line between genius and madness. Van Gogh, Picasso, Goya, Goudy and beathoven. The list is endless.

Every day a creative person goes though, a washing machine of emotions and moods. Which would drive normal people mad.

The operate at a frequency where everything effects them. They are at the ultra sensitive side of the spectrum. With a million ideas racing in your mind.

They say artists are the antenna of any society. Because they reflect their environment.

But for the artist this means they are constantly open to ideas and able to reflect or express them to the wider public.
